Freelance Commissioning Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support an international machine-building project across the UK, Ireland and US, with initial training and onboarding taking place in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Commission, test and troubleshoot automated machinery on customer sites.
• Work with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation and/or CODESYS control systems.
• Diagnose PLC, electrical, mechanical and motion-related issues during commissioning.
• Support machine installation, start-up, SAT and handover.
• Travel internationally across the UK, Ireland and US.

Requirements

• Strong background commissioning industrial machinery, ideally packaging, production or high-speed automated machines.
• Must have hands-on commissioning experience with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell
• Motion control / servo experience is highly desirable.
• Comfortable working independently on customer sites.
• Willing and able to travel internationally for project assignments.
