Freelance Design Engineer | Offshore Wind | Netherlands
We're supporting a major offshore wind project in the Netherlands and are looking for an experienced Freelance Design Engineer to join the engineering team.
4-2 rotation
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review engineering designs for offshore wind infrastructure.
- Produce calculations, technical drawings, and design documentation.
- Ensure compliance with DNV, Eurocodes, and project requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Provide technical support through design, fabrication, and installation phases.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Offshore Engineering.
- 5+ years' engineering design experience within offshore wind, offshore energy, or marine projects.
- Strong knowledge of offshore structures and relevant industry standards.
- Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, STAAD, SACS, ANSYS, or similar.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Netherlands (Hybrid)
Initial 12-month contract with extension potential
