Omschrijving
Medior FEC Testing Expert – Global Sanctions
Are you ready to use your analytical mindset and attention to detail to make the financial world safer? Do you want to work on innovative solutions with global impact and develop yourself within an inclusive and ambitious organisation?
You and your job
As a Medior FEC Testing Expert in the Sanctions Tech Model Development (STMD) testing team, you execute model tests and design new tests for Sanctions and AB&C screening models. You also guide colleagues and review test reports. By developing an in-depth understanding of how these models work, you become a recognised expert in sanctions screening, combining technical expertise with strong knowledge of FEC risks and business processes.
Practical examples
- Execute model tests, analyse the results and document the results and conclusions in clear test reports.
- Guide testing activities and review test reports, ensuring that conclusions are evidence-based, clearly documented and suitable for decision-making.
- Design and set up new tests for new models, service-consumer onboardings and new model functions.
- Help team members to strengthen their testing approach, model knowledge, documentation and stakeholder communication.
- Represent the testing team in discussions with stakeholders, Model Owners, Compliance, and Audit.
- Identify opportunities to improve sanctions screening models, test coverage, monitoring and reporting, and help translate findings into practical remediation.
Facts & figures
- Start date: as soon as possible, until 31 July 2027, with the possibility of an extension
- 32-36 hours per week
- Hybrid working: Tuesday and Thursday office days
- Language: English
- The team consists of 20 professionals, primarily Data Analysts and Data Scientists
- Millions of transactions and customers are screened by our models
- 9.5 million customers worldwide
Top 3 responsibilities
- Own and advance the testing methodology. Maintain a coherent, risk-based approach for model monitoring, model changes, and new testing activities. Define fit-for-purpose test designs, evaluation criteria and documentation standards, and ensure consistent application across the team.
- Build model expertise and drive improvement. Develop a detailed understanding of the screening models. Use testing outcomes, model findings and stakeholder input to identify model gaps, propose improvements and support tuning, change requests and remediation.
- Guide the team and connect stakeholders. Review test plans and reports, support colleagues, and guide new testing and model-support activities. Represent the testing perspective to Model Owners, Compliance, technical teams, and Audit, bridging risk, business, and technology.
Together we achieve more than alone
The STMD team’s role goes beyond performance testing of sanctions models. By understanding how the models work in detail, we become model experts. We also work closely with Model Owners and Compliance to identify and address risks and model gaps, building strong risk and business knowledge. As a link between Model Owners and technical teams, we support model monitoring, tuning and changes, remediate findings and gaps, develop new tests, and shape model governance and testing strategy.
