Agile Coach

For one of our clients, we are looking for an freelance Agile Coach to support Product and Engineering teams in delivering high-quality software through effective agile practices, continuous improvement, and a customer-first mindset. This is an excellent opportunity to work across multiple cross-functional teams and influence organisational delivery performance at scale.

Location: Amsterdam Campus, Amsterdam
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
Rate: €90 - €95 per hour, all in excl VAT

Responsiblities for this role

• Work with Product and Engineering teams to improve the delivery of working software through effective agile practices.
• Guide teams to focus on customer value, effective work breakdown, and efficient delivery approaches.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating regular review, learning, and implementation of changes.
• Identify and resolve delivery challenges, remove blockers, and reduce dependencies through collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Help teams understand and utilise delivery metrics to measure success and improve outcomes.
• Support continuous delivery practices and help teams adapt and improve their ways of working.
• Encourage rapid feedback cycles through incremental software delivery.
• Improve planning processes and sustainable delivery practices to create a healthy pace of work.
• Drive organisational improvement initiatives by assessing current conditions, defining target states, and supporting implementation plans.
• Create and maintain an environment of psychological safety, openness, and healthy debate.
• Apply techniques such as root cause analysis and the 5 Whys to identify sustainable solutions.
• Build stakeholder engagement through effective communication, change management, and relationship management.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and advisory support to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Influence decision-making, facilitate alignment, and support successful negotiation outcomes across teams and stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Agile Coaching, Agile Delivery, Product Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and continuous improvement principles.
• Experience working with cross-functional Product and Engineering teams.
• Ability to analyse delivery performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience driving behavioural and cultural change within organisations.
• Knowledge of change management principles and stakeholder engagement techniques.
• Strong communication, influencing, consulting, and negotiation skills.
• Experience creating psychologically safe and high-performing team environments.
• Ability to work effectively with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Senior Engineering Managers, and Group Product Managers.
