Building Management System Engineer (BMS)

Do you have the skills to actively engage and lead people to achieve great results together? Do you want to improve the employee experience within ABN AMRO by implementing Homebase systems under high pressure? Then we are looking for you! Function We are looking for a business developer that will work in the BMS team. The BMS team is responsible for maintenance and change in the software of our building management systems.

As a business developer you will work on a variety of initiatives within the scope of our HVAC, Security- and lighting management applications. You will translate the requirements of our Homebase and New Data Centre projects to workable solutions that can be picked up by our DevOps working Agile Scrum team. Gathering requirements for (new) functionalities and clearly communicating them to the rest of the scrum team; Translating gathered requirements to user stories within the scrum team; Work closely together with the Product owner and stakeholder in the Homebase Project team and Haskoning to understand and plan incoming work; Clear communication and alignment with our stakeholders and our BMS suppliers; Supporting change risk assessments of upcoming changes; Handle security issues and incoming tickets together with the team; Have an active role in the management of our changes within the Homebase Projects/BMS.

Requirements Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; At least 10 years of work experience as Project Manager/Business Developer in the area of software development for facility management and building management systems. E.g. lighting, security cameras, networking, cooling & air-conditioning, physical building access,…etc; Proven experience in requirement gathering; Experience working in an agile and DevOps environment; Experience working within ABN AMRO is a must Must have the following soft skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills (English, preferably Dutch); Has a pragmatic approach; Attention to detail; Listening skills; Respectful of different cultures; Critical thinking; Adaptability; Capable of building bridges.
