Key duties

  • Provide administrative support to project boards, assurance teams, and quality-review meetings.
  • Use portfolio, programme, and project-control tools for planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
  • Maintain project files and prepare and distribute reports.
  • Advise teams on project-management software, processes, procedures, tools, and techniques.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organisational skills, technology, and processes.
  • Conduct maturity and performance assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Prioritise improvement opportunities, secure stakeholder support, and plan activities with measurable benefits.
  • Support and advise teams undertaking continual-improvement initiatives.
  • Help develop the Agency’s Service Transition strategy, plans, policies, and templates.
  • Ensure transition activities are properly planned and completed on time.
  • Provide Transition Planning and Support guidance to programmes and projects.
  • Review project proposals to ensure they include appropriate transition activities.
  • Support the Senior Transition and Assurance Manager and deputise for senior management when required.

Essential requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in a relevant discipline, plus at least two years of related experience.
  • Alternatively, at least six years of extensive and progressively responsible experience relevant to the role.
  • At least two years’ Service Management experience in a medium-to-large organisation.
  • Extensive Service Transition Management experience across multiple industries.
  • Experience advising teams on Service Management and continual-improvement methods.
  • Ability to assess risks and develop corrective and improvement plans.
  • Strong time management and ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication, including senior-level briefing and reporting skills.
  • ITIL certification.
  • PRINCE2 or an equivalent project-management certification.

Desirable experience

  • Experience working in an international environment involving military and civilian personnel.
  • Knowledge of NATO’s organisation and responsibilities, including Allied Command Operations (ACO) and Allied Command Transformation (ACT).
