Senior Technical Operations Coordinator

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Technical Operations Coordinator to join the Technical Operations team within Shell Aircraft.

This is a broad, fast-moving and responsible role, providing dedicated operational support to the Manager Air Transport Safety and Manager Air Transport Assurance, while also working across Technical Operations, Advisory, Safety Assurance and Office Management.

This is not a traditional administrative role. We are looking for someone who takes genuine ownership, thinks ahead, works with pace and good judgment, and becomes a trusted person the managers and wider team can rely on completely.

The role:

• Provide proactive, high-quality day-to-day support to the Manager Air Transport Safety and Manager Air Transport Assurance, understanding their priorities, anticipating requirements and helping them and their teams operate effectively.
• Build a strong working partnership with both managers, taking ownership of actions and coordination so that they do not need to continuously follow up or provide detailed direction.
• Act as a central coordination point across Air Transport Safety, Air Transport Assurance, Advisory and Technical Operations, connecting people, information and actions and ensuring things do not fall between the cracks.
• Represent the managers appropriately when coordinating with others, using sound judgment and knowing when to act independently, when to challenge and when something genuinely needs escalation.

Practical responsibilities:

• Coordinate complex international travel, visas, logistics, access and documentation for the Aviation Advisory team.
• Support the global Safety Assurance programme, including preparation, review and publication of Assurance Audit reports and follow-up of associated actions.
• Coordinate, review and publish controlled documents and manuals.
• Take ownership of selected Office Management activities alongside the Technical Operations Manager.
• Organise meetings, workshops and events from planning through to delivery.
• Work confidently across multiple digital systems and look continuously for smarter and more efficient ways of working.
• Provide flexible support and cover across the wider Technical Operations team.
