For one of our international clients, we are looking for an experienced Senior Workplace Adjustment / HR Advisor to join a global Inclusion team. This is a unique opportunity to make a visible impact in a strategically important area, helping to shape and operationalise workplace adjustment processes while supporting disability inclusion and accessibility initiatives across a global organisation.
Contract Details
Location: Open to candidates based in the United Kingdom or the Netherlands.
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months, freelance contract
This position sits within the Inclusion function, and offers a combination of strategic programme development and hands-on case management, supporting both candidates and employees with workplace adjustment needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the development of the global Reasonable Adjustment (RA) process, including governance, decision-making frameworks, and responsibilities.
- Support broader accessibility and disability inclusion initiatives across the organisation.
- Manage complex workplace adjustment requests throughout the recruitment and employment lifecycle.
- Act as a trusted advisor for candidates, employees, and managers.
- Identify barriers and recommend practical, effective workplace adjustments.
- Document decisions clearly and escalate high-risk or complex cases when needed.
- Work closely with HR, Legal, IT, Facilities, Finance, and external specialists to deliver solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accessibility and disability legislation.
- Monitor adjustment data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop guidance documents, workflows, training materials, and other resources
What We Are Looking For
- A qualification in Human Resources, Inclusion, Disability Studies, or a related field.
- Around 5-8 years of experience in workplace adjustments, employee relations, HR advisory, disability inclusion, accessibility, or case management.
- Strong knowledge of workplace adjustment legislation and disability inclusion best practices.
- Experience handling sensitive or complex cases with professionalism and discretion.
- The ability to balance individual needs, business requirements, compliance, and risk.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style.
- Experience partnering with HR, Legal, Inclusion, IT, Facilities, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn insights into practical improvements.
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
