Senior Engineer, CIS Security
Main duties
- Support security accreditation for NISC-managed CIS, particularly edge security, in line with NATO security policies.
- Assess threats, vulnerabilities and residual risks, then recommend ways to manage them.
- Prepare accreditation documents, including risk assessments, security requirements, operating procedures and test plans. Identify opportunities to automate document preparation.
- Witness security tests and coordinate remediation of findings with technical leads.
- Support internal and external audits and security checks when required.
Required experience and knowledge
- Strong experience in CIS security risk assessments, accreditation and the associated documentation.
- Broad knowledge of computer, network and edge security, including operating system and application vulnerabilities.
- Experience implementing security controls in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of IT security frameworks and governance, plus NATO or NATO member nation CIS security practices.
- NATO Cosmic Top Secret clearance.
Assignment details: Full-time on-site in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium; stated dates 9 November–30 December 2026; stated scope 760 hours. Some work outside normal office hours and travel within Belgium may be required.
