Engineer (Cloud and Databases)

Duties

• Administer, configure enterprise-wide cloud environments (MS Azure or AWS).
• Provide Level 2/3 support for cloud related issues, investigating and resolving operational problems in a timely manner.
• Provision and maintain VMs, storage on cloud and databases on prem and on cloud, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage and optimize cloud components.
• Automate the deployment and management of AWS or Azure resources using Terraform, or similar tools.
• Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks, such as instance management, backups, and scaling.
• Perform other duties, as may be required.

Requirement

• Manage and optimize cloud components.
• Automate the deployment and management of AWS or Azure resources using Terraform, or similar tools.
• Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks, such as instance management, backups, and scaling.
• Sound experience with Database management systems (like MS SQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) on Cloud and on premisses.
• Sound experience with AWS and Azure environments (IaaS and PaaS services).
• Experience with VMs, storage accounts, virtual networks and monitoring tools on Cloud.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus).
• Must have excellent spoken and written English communication and presentation skills, as demonstrated by recent experience (within the past 5 years);
• Must demonstrate the ability and self-motivation to work on his/her own but must also work well within groups as part of a team;
• Must demonstrate an ability and keen sense for problem-solving.
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization.
• Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret.
