Assignment Description

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work within a cybersecurity environment on AI-driven Identity & Access Management. The assignment focuses on developing AI and analytics solutions that strengthen cybersecurity controls and provide deeper insights into complex security challenges. A key area of focus is Identity & Access Management (IAM), supporting the secure and effective management of digital identities and access to critical systems.

You will identify and prioritise relevant AI/ML use cases and develop models to detect areas such as anomalous user behaviour, suspicious access patterns and potential security threats. The focus is not only on modelling, but also on testing, deploying and bringing scalable AI/ML solutions into production. This assignment therefore requires a senior professional who combines strong Data Science expertise with software engineering skills and can independently take ownership from discovery through to delivery.

What will you do?
* Identify, assess and prioritise AI/ML use cases for cybersecurity and Identity & Access Management.

• Develop machine-learning models to identify anomalous user behaviour, suspicious access patterns and potential security threats.
• Develop, test and deploy scalable AI/ML models for integration into cybersecurity platforms.
• Build AI, LLM and advanced analytics solutions.
• Work with areas including prompt design, structured outputs, evaluation and monitoring.
• Bring analytical solutions into production with a strong focus on maintainability, testing and software delivery.
• Independently take ownership of projects from discovery through to delivery.
• Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity specialists and business stakeholders.

Hard Requirements

• Demonstrably highly proficient in Python, PySpark and SQL, including writing clean, maintainable, well-documented and production-ready code.
• Significant experience building AI, LLM or advanced analytics solutions, including prompt design, structured outputs, evaluation, monitoring and responsible use of AI.
• Experience with Databricks, MLflow, MLOps, deployment, CI/CD, testing or other software delivery practices.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of projects from discovery through to delivery; a senior professional is required who can also support others.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working with engineers, cybersecurity specialists and business stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Engineering or another related quantitative field.
• Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM), including areas such as High Privilege Access, authorisation management and Privilege Session Management.
• Experience in a regulated environment such as banking, financial services, risk, compliance or cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of LLM evaluation and safety practices, including structured outputs, testing and basic implementation of guardrails.

Selection Process
The interview process consists of two rounds of approximately 30 minutes:

• Round 1: Technical interview on 17 September 2026.
• Round 2: Behavioural-fit interview on 18 September 2026.
