Interim Power BI consultant in The Hague you work in an international commodity trading company in a Business Central implementation. The holding company already runs on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC). The other group companies will follow during 2027.

Wat ga je als Interim Power BI Consultant doen?

The Interim Power BI Consultant in The Hague will design and implement (non)-financial reports on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central data and help our team become confident with Power BI.

• Sparring partner for the business, translating business requirements to functional designs.
• Responsible for describing and documenting changes/issues in Microsoft DevOps.
• Build (non-)financial reporting based on BC data: P&L, balance sheet, trial balance, VAT and budget vs. actual, contracts book, realized sales reports, position, inventory, etc.
• Assisting data engineer in data modelling that can be reused when the other companies move to BC (multi-company, consolidation-ready, standard dimensions).
• Provide basic Power BI training for users when rolling out new reports.
• Hand over a maintainable solution, including naming conventions and governance (ownership workspaces, approval process for change requests, access, version control).

Wat neem je als Interim Power BI Consultant mee? The Interim Power BI Consultant in The Hague Must-have:

• Proven experience building Power BI reports (Fabric, SQL, DAX, Power Query, PySpark, OTAP) – Senior level.
• Experience connecting Power BI to ERP data (BC, NAV, or a comparable system).
• Knowledge of financial processes (general ledger, period closing, dimensions, budgeting).
• Able to explain technical topics in plain language and coach non-technical colleagues.
• Personal skills: able to translate business needs to concrete requirements, accuracy, structured way of working.
• English (spoken and written).

Nice-to-have:

• Dutch (spoken and written).
• Direct BC experience (standard BC connector, OData/API pages).
• Knowledge of consolidation and multi-entity reporting.
• Experience with Power BI Service administration (workspaces, row-level security).
• Willingness to learn BC quickly.

• Duration: approximately 6 months
• Availability: minimum of 3 days per week (24 hours) maximum of 40 hours.
• An hourly rate that incluuds travel expences.
