Business Analyst — Rabobank (Utrecht)

You will work on two strategic innovation initiatives where data, client insights and predictive analytics create new commercial opportunities and support sustainable growth. You will operate at the intersection of business development, data analytics and innovation and contribute to developing data-driven propositions and predictive solutions for Wholesale Banking.

What you will do

• Analyse existing business processes to identify pain points, improvement opportunities and innovation initiatives that enable new business models.
• Design and support experiments by defining hypotheses, data requirements and success criteria; assess feasibility of new concepts and predictive solutions.
• Connect stakeholders across business, data, architecture, risk and product development; translate complex insights into clear recommendations and actionable next steps.
• Develop concepts and prototypes for predictive solutions, analyse available data and contribute to propositions that respond to future developments.

Examples of projects

• Improving prediction of financing needs within Trade & Commodity Finance during market volatility.
• Developing data-driven insights to enable relationship managers and credit specialists to identify opportunities and risks earlier across clients and sectors.
• Bringing together business, data, risk and product expertise to create innovative, data-driven solutions that drive client value and commercial growth.

Your profile

• Experience in stakeholder management within a complex environment.
• Proven skills in business analysis and process improvement.
• Experience in data analytics and translating insights into business opportunities.
• Technical skills: strong Excel and strong Python skills.
• Preferred: experience in Corporate Banking, Trade Finance or a comparable business environment.

• Scope: work on two strategic innovation initiatives within a small innovation team.
• Working model: hybrid (Rabobank @anywhere principle).
• Employment type: no ZZP/freelance (employment required).
