Senior ServiceNow Portal Designer - Wageningen

Introductie

Voor onze eindklant WUR zijn wij opzoek naar een Senior ServiceNow Portal Designer voor 16 uur per week.

Organisatie

Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is further developing its ServiceNow platform and, in particular, the WUR Support Portal. Several items on the roadmap require dedicated portal design and UX expertise. We are therefore looking for an experienced ServiceNow Portal Designer who can work closely with our ServiceNow team, product owners, functional specialists and developers to design, improve and implement portal experiences. The assignment combines UX/UI design, portal design and hands-on ServiceNow work. The designer should be able to translate functional requirements and ideas into clear, user-friendly portal designs and work with developers to bring these designs into the ServiceNow platform.

Functie

Key assignments:

1. Planon–ServiceNow integration

One of the major items on the roadmap is the integration between Planon and ServiceNow.

The integration will require, among other things:

• Designing and implementing changes to several pages within the WUR Support Portal.
• Translating the requirements resulting from the Planon–ServiceNow integration into an intuitive user experience.
• Designing portal components, pages and user flows.
• Working closely with the ServiceNow team and integration/development specialists.
• Ensuring that the portal changes are consistent with the existing WUR Support Portal and its design principles.
• Supporting the implementation and refinement of the designs in ServiceNow.
  

2. Personalization of the WUR Support Portal

We are also exploring personalization of the WUR Support Portal, with the aim of providing different information and experiences to students and employees. This initiative is currently in the Idea phase. The designer will therefore play an important role in helping us explore and shape the concept.

Activities will include:

• Advising the team on possibilities and best practices for portal personalization.
• Helping translate the initial idea into concrete user journeys and concepts.
• Developing wireframes, mock-ups and/or prototypes.
• Designing different portal experiences for students and employees.
• Exploring how information, navigation and content can be presented differently based on user context.
• Working with stakeholders to validate and refine the proposed designs.
• Advising on what is technically and practically feasible within ServiceNow.
  

Responsibilities:

• Design user-friendly and accessible experiences for the ServiceNow portal.
• Create wireframes, visual designs and prototypes where appropriate.
• Translate functional requirements into practical portal solutions.
• Advise stakeholders on UX, information architecture and portal design.
• Work closely with ServiceNow developers and functional consultants.
• Ensure consistency with existing portal components and design standards.
• Participate in workshops, refinement sessions and stakeholder discussions.
• Help assess the impact and feasibility of proposed designs within ServiceNow.
• Where appropriate, support or perform the configuration/implementation of the portal design in ServiceNow.
• Carrying out minor repairs to ensure business continuity

Profile:

We are looking for someone who combines strong UX/UI design skills with practical ServiceNow experience.

The ideal candidate has:

• Demonstrable experience designing ServiceNow portals, preferably Service Portal and/or Employee Center.
• Strong UX/UI design experience, including wireframing and prototyping.
• Experience translating business and user requirements into portal designs.
• Experience working with developers and technical teams.
