Senior Engineer (DevSecOps) — Request C005486
Plans, designs, implements and deploys secure DevSecOps solutions across CIS environments, supporting reliable software delivery and mission-critical infrastructure.
Main duties
- Design, install, configure and integrate DevSecOps platforms, pipelines and automation frameworks.
- Embed security controls, compliance checks and automated security testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Perform system testing, validation and acceptance activities; support deployment, migration and operational handover.
- Produce technical designs, architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, security artefacts and operational documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams, architects, security stakeholders and operational authorities.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, resolve issues and support quality assurance and project governance.
- Provide regular reports covering progress, milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, resource use and decisions required.
Experience and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, software engineering, platform engineering or infrastructure automation.
- Experience supporting secure, on-premises CIS environments, enterprise data centres and mission-critical systems.
- Experience building DevSecOps pipelines, integrating security throughout the SDLC, and implementing Infrastructure as Code, configuration management and automated deployments.
- Experience with containerized and cloud-native technologies hosted on-premises.
- Experience producing technical documentation and operational handover materials.
- Military, defence, government or mission-critical operational experience is desirable.
- NATO SECRET security clearance required.

Expertise or experience is required in several of the following areas:

| Monitoring and observability | Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic or equivalent; troubleshooting, incident response and performance monitoring |
Mandatory certifications
- At least one DevOps/platform/automation certification: CKA, Terraform Associate, Docker Certified Associate, or an industry-recognized equivalent.
- Additionally, at least one cybersecurity certification: CompTIA Security , GSEC, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, or an industry-recognized equivalent.
