What’s the role
As Personal Assistant to the IDT GM, you will provide high-quality administrative, planning and coordination support to help our technology leadership team operate effectively. Based in The Hague, you’ll help the GM manage priorities, decide what needs attention and keep focus on the most important business outcomes. You’ll organise complex schedules, support meetings and communications, and act as a trusted filter for information, requests and follow-up. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, assistants and teams across Shell, helping to create a smooth, professional and well-coordinated working environment.
What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the GM’s diary, priorities, meeting schedule and daily workflow.
  • Act as a trusted filter for the GM, helping assess what needs attention, what can be delegated and what can wait.
  • Organise meetings, leadership sessions, team events and external engagements.
  • Prepare agendas, briefing materials, meeting notes and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate travel, expenses and other administrative processes.
  • Support clear and timely communication across the technology leadership team and wider stakeholder groups.
  • Handle sensitive information with care, discretion and sound judgement.
  • Build strong working relationships with assistants, leaders and colleagues across Shell.
  • Identify practical ways to improve team routines, planning and administrative processes.
  • Support onboarding, team engagement activities and key leadership moments.

What you bring

  • Proven experience providing administrative or personal assistant support to senior leaders.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Dutch and English.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and changing deadlines.
  • Experience coordinating complex diaries, meetings, travel and business administration.
  • Sound judgement, with the ability to prioritise requests, filter information and escalate the right topics at the right time.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across different teams, locations or time zones.

Preferably:

  • Experience supporting leaders in technology, digital, transformation or a large corporate environment.
  • Experience organising leadership meetings, town halls or team engagement events.
  • Experience managing expenses and related administrative processes.
