Omschrijving

Duties

  • Perform quality assurance and software testing for the open-source MISP platform and NATO-specific integrations.
  • Configure and manage MISP test instances and related infrastructure.
  • Occasionally perform basic operations on production NATO MISP systems.
  • Identify non-compliance with organisational standards and report findings and risks.
  • Plan testing activities, environments, test cases, scenarios, and coverage.
  • Conduct acceptance and API testing under realistic operational conditions.
  • Document, analyse, and report test results to stakeholders.
  • Provide basic support to NATO’s MISP user community.
  • Coordinate testing with internal teams, the MISP project, and open-source community members.
  • Work with service managers, engineers, system administrators, developers, and data engineers.

Essential requirements

  • At least 5 years of practical experience in software testing strategies, test automation, API testing, and Python scripting.
  • Experience with basic Linux, Apache, and MySQL/MariaDB operations.
  • Experience configuring web applications.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • English at NATO STANAG 6001 Level 3 or higher.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree plus 3 years’ experience, or substantial equivalent experience.
  • NATO Secret clearance.

Desirable background

  • ISTQB or similar testing certification.
  • MISP administration or MISP development experience using Python or PHP.
  • Incident-response experience.
  • Experience with Red Hat and open-source communities.
  • Participation in multinational cyber exercises such as Locked Shields, Crossed Swords, or Cyber Coalition.

Location: Mons, Belgium
Arrangement: Full-time on-site, with up to 20% remote work subject to approval
Travel: Up to two trips per month, each lasting no more than two days
Working conditions: Normal office environment; some remote-work equipment must be supplied by the contractor
