Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our Software team with an Application Specialist who will play a key role in implementing and supporting software solutions for laboratory automation projects worldwide.

The Role

As an Application Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and commissioning laboratory automation software solutions for customers in both domestic and international markets. You will provide technical software support, configure automation workflows, test system performance, and ensure successful project delivery. You will work closely with software engineers, project managers, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test automation software and third-party applications for customer systems.
• Develop and implement software workflows to support laboratory automation processes.
• Configure robotic systems, teach robot positions, and validate communication with peripheral devices.
• Assess, test, and validate required labware and equipment for project-specific applications.
• Verify that software installations meet User Requirement Specifications (URS) and technical specifications.
• Provide testing feedback and technical reports to project management teams.
• Prepare systems for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Support customer installations and deliver successful Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Deliver software training and technical guidance to both internal teams and end users.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of system documentation and user manuals.
• Provide ongoing software support and troubleshooting for customers when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree level of thinking and working (HBO level or equivalent).
• Experience with software installation, configuration, and testing.
• Affinity with automation, robotics, or technical systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence when working with customers.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Highly motivated to deliver high-quality results.
• Comfortable working in a growing and dynamic organization.
• Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• Experience in laboratory environments or laboratory-related technologies is considered an advantage.
