Achtergrond opdracht

Within 1 German-Netherlands Corps headquarters (HQ) the Münster Detachement is responsible for all IT systems. Due to the restructuring of the HQ into a Warfighting Capable HQ the complexity and workload has increased significantly. As a result the Münster Detachement is understaffed. In order to ensure the continuity of IT services to the HQ additional capacity is needed, which is procured through external hiring. All tasks related to the job to be executed from 1GNC, Münster, Germany.

Candidate should be willing to work in Münster the whole week.

Kind request to COMMIT to also try to identify candidates that are already living in Germany, or candidates with a German background. NATO clearances are applicable. Language of instruction is English.

Organisatorische context en cultuur

1GNC is a multi-national Headquarter environment where military and civilians work close together (that is exempt from VAT). It contains mainly out of German and Dutch personal. Languages within the HQ (Headquarter) is mandatory English, preferable is also German and/or Dutch. Because of this, the CV has to be delivered in English

Opdrachtomschrijving

The Senior System Administrator (2 FTE) duties consist of: Install, operate, maintain and troubleshoot the NR/NY/NX/NS-1GNC.

• (1) Examine the Audit, Security and Maintenance Logs daily;
• (2) Provide Security advice to the Installation manager, staff and system users;
• (3) Monitor and conduct the implementation of hardware and software modifications;
• (4) Managing thin clients, fat clients and server computers;
• (5) Managing storage resources, NTFS / share / EDMS / Tasker Tracker Plus (TT+) / Portal permissions, MFD and printers;
• (6) Monitoring server health and security;
• (7) Managing Active Directory-, DNS, DHCP, IIS, mail and other services;
• (8) Inform Münster Detachement Chief Back Office of any proposed modifications to the system;
• (9) Monitor and manage Antivirus software;
• (10) Ensure backup of data according to SecOps orders 1GNC;
• (11) Disaster recovery and prevention according to order Chief Back Office;
• (12) Testing and implementing software on order Chief Back Office.

Beheert ICT-systeemcomponenten om te voldoen aan de servicevereisten. Installeert software, configureert en verbetert ICT-systemen. Beheert de dagelijkse activiteiten om te voldoen aan de continuïteit van service, herstel, beveiliging en prestatiebehoeften.

Competentie gebied: Uitvoeren

Implementeert en begeleidt de evolutie van een ICT-oplossing. Zorgt voor een efficiënte controle en planning van software- of hardwaremodificaties om te voorkomen dat meerdere upgrades onvoorspelbare resultaten opleveren. Minimaliseert onderbreking van de service als gevolg van wijzigingen en houdt zich aan de gedefinieerde Service Level Agreement (SLA). Zorgt voor overweging en naleving van procedures voor informatiebeveiliging.
